A mini-conference on Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems
Wandering Seminar 2023

About

The Wandering Seminar is an initiative which aims at integrating ergodic theory and dynamical systems research groups in Poland. Before the pandemic, the original goal was to organize mini-conferences/workshops a few times each year. These meeting are to be devoted to actual research topics in our area. Contrary to what the title suggests, this should be a recurring event, which only wanders geographically across Polish universities with dynamical systems research groups. We hope to revive the previous series with this new edition.

Mini-Course

Dominated splittings, thermodynamical formalism and (higher rank) geometric structures

Main speaker
Andrés Sambarino, CNRS - Sorbonne Université
About the mini-course
In the recent years the field of higher rank Teichmüller Theory has seen a surprisingly fast and deep development. Inspired by classical Theichmüller Theory and being at the intersection of several fields as Geometric Group Theory, Geometry of Symmetric Spaces, Dynamical Systems, among others, it is a natural place to find beautiful interactions between these. We will begin by relating dominated splittings of linear cocycles...read more
